We are working to decarbonize the region and control and fix electricity prices by expanding the use of non-FIT renewable energy sources in the region in cooperation with new regional electric power companies. As part of this effort, we will begin wholesale supply of non-FIT solar power in the Tohoku area that we have aggregated to Kazuno Power, a new regional electric power company in Kazuno City, Akita Prefecture. This will expand Kazuno Power’s renewable energy supply ratio, decarbonize the region, and partially fix electricity procurement prices.
As an aggregator (specified wholesale supplier), we will support the procurement of renewable energy sources by the new regional power company through forecasting the amount of electricity generated from solar, wind, and other renewable energy sources, supply and demand operations, and imbalance compensation. In the future, we will further strengthen cooperation and procurement with renewable energy power generators and promote the wholesale supply of non-FIT renewable energy sources to new regional electric power companies in municipalities aiming for zero carbon.
